Are you truly living your vision for your business or just dreaming about it?
Have you fully developed the plan from where you are now to where you want to be?
Too many of us have hopes and dreams and we haven’t sat down with pen and paper to figure out the next steps to get there.
We sit too long in visionary energy, dreaming about all of the possibilities we could create instead of focusing on how we could turn these into reality.
You might be asking yourself, “Why is a vision important?”
A vision for your business and life is important because you need something to pull you through those rough days. There will be times when it isn’t always easy and you want a break. There will be many early mornings and late nights, and if you don’t have something on the other end that draws you, it will be hard to keep going.
No matter your vision, it is essential you make it a reality because you have the potential to change lives.
You have gifts and thoughts that could make this world a better place so it would be selfish to keep those inside of you instead of sharing them.
If you haven’t gotten in touch with your vision, here are some questions to ask yourself:
What would I change about the world?
What would my ideal day look like?
What could I work on every single day and never be bored?
Who do I admire the most?
What have I always felt drawn to?
Where do I imagine myself in ten years?
What mark do I want to leave behind on the world?
These questions should unearth a general idea for what you want with your life and your business.
Now, your goal is to start at the end and work backward.
What is the step before your ultimate goal? What is the step before that? Keep working backward until you get to a goal that you could achieve this year.
With that yearly goal in mind, what would the mini goals be for each month this year? Write them all down even if you’re not fully sure how they will come to fruition yet.
Once you have hit this month, what are the action steps you need to take every single week to hit your goal for the month?
Now, you should have a general plan and outline for reaching your ultimate vision.
Write all of these steps in your journal or planner so you can remember every single day what you need to get done.
If you haven’t, take some time to truly visualize yourself in your dream life and write it down. You will need this to help you through the hard days, to remind you why you are doing this.
Make it as visual as possible! Even create a vision board if you are feeling really creative and inspired. This will help you visualize what you are working on every single day.
Never feel bad for staying in visionary energy. Just make sure to back up your vision with easy steps so you can make this dream come true.
